Education:
Ph.D., Johns Hopkins University (Mechanical Engineering)
Research Interests:

Duraiswami combines advanced algorithms, numerical analysis and heterogeneous-graphics processing unit computing to achieve fast solutions to problems in computational physics (electron microscopy/X-ray scattering, acoustics, fluid flow) and machine learning. Collaborations with UMB could include investigating the structure, dynamics and interactions of biological macromolecules using tools such as nuclear magnetic resonance, small-angle X-ray scattering and computer simulations. Other work might involve an acoustical camera that could be used in medical applications.
