Research Interests:
Findlater focuses on improving access to health-related information. This includes accounting for diverse needs in client education levels and in cognitive, physical and sensory abilities. She looks closely at accessibility for people with low levels of literacy, with aphasia (an acquired language disorder), and for older adults and people with physical disabilities. UMB collaborations could include how multimedia content engages clients, and whether it facilitates communication of particularly sensitive topics like domestic violence or HIV.
